Here it is ladies and gentlemen. The final and most critical phase of next season’s arms race has descended upon us. Today, New York’s Radio City Music hall will host the 2009 NFL Draft.
As most of you have undoubtedly heard, Matt Stafford has been anointed this year’s number one pick overall, signifying a new beginning for the Detroit Lions franchise, and putting the St. Louis Rams on the clock. The Rams will likely take Baylor offensive tackle Jason Smith, assuming that the infamous “plane ticket” purchased for Mark Sanchez is indeed a smoke-screen.
The entire NFL Draft Headquarters’ crew will be on the clock throughout the entire first round, bringing you instantaneous analysis and breaking down the events as they unfold. There promises to be an enormous amount of trade activity, and shocking surprises to go along. We would encourage everyone to engage in our conversation both through the “comment” application on this site, as well as on our Facebook community:
The day of reckoning has arrived, and we’re happy to have you along for this magic carpet ride.
